Racially inflammatory play inspired by Waiting for Godot. Two black men are talking on a street corner when a racist white man joins them
What's Pass Over Like?
Set on a city street corner near dawn, two young black innocent men, Moses and Kitch stand around talking, passing the time, and hoping that maybe today will be different. As they dream of their promised land, a racist white stranger wanders into their space and disrupts their plans the only way the white devil can.
Is Pass Over Good for Kids?
Given the show includes racism, reverse-racism and a great deal of profanities, this show is not suitable for children
Pass Over on Broadway Background
In this time of national reckoning with issues of racial injustice, critical race theory, Black Lives Matter and racial unrest, this play attempts to shine a light on the pain and suffering the white man has caused black people. The play received the 2019 Lortel Award for Outstanding Play.
