The brothers Lincoln and Booth are center-stage in this darkly comic fable of brotherly love and family identity. It tells the story of the two brothers, Lincoln and Booth, names given to them as a joke by their father.
Obsession With Three Card Monte
Haunted by the past and their obsession with the street con game, three-card monte, the brothers come to learn the true nature of their history.As the men struggle to make ends meet and figure out what they're going to do with their lives, their tense relationship begins to crumble after Lincoln loses his job and returns to hustling cards.
When he challenges Booth to take him on in a game three-card monte, the contest creates a volcanic atmosphere of rage, envy, and despair as the brothers spiral toward an act of violence that will destroy their fraternal ties forever.

Suzan-Lori Parks’ 2001 Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece, Topdog/Underdog returned to Broadway for a 20th Anniversary Production.
The 2022 production is now directed by Tony Award-winner Kenny Leon and stars Tony Award-nominee Corey Hawkins and Emmy Award-winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen.
