- Directions: You can hop on the A or C train towards 59th Street and Columbus Circle or the 1 train to 66th Street Lincoln Center and walk to 65th Street and Columbus Avenue. You can also get on the M104 bus to the Broadway and 63th Street bus stop.

With over 3000 seats at each Big Apple Circus event, there are many ways to experience the show. The boxes A through U are well positioned to see the whole show, from a well regarded distance, but most seats in Ring 1- Ring 6 also have great views of the stage Avoid getting too close to the stage as you will see the clowns more close-up, but who really cares about the clowns? Most people prefer the big-acts. Sections Mezz 10 and Mezz 11 should be avoided at all costs as the sight lines are terrible, with a great deal of the show obscured as is Ring 7 and Ring 8 as well. The rear seats of all the mezzanine seats feel so far from the stage that the experience is more akin to watching it on TV. There are four large tent poles adjacent to the round stage that can ruin the night if you have them in your line-of-sight, so best avoid - even the expensive seats are affected, so study the map carefully before you buy tickets, because the Carney folk aren't going to do refunds.

Damrosch Park History
Damrosch Park is the outdoor performance area of the Lincoln Center For The Performing Arts campus. First developed in the 1950s, Lincoln Center gradually became New York City's most impressive cultural destination as new theaters, schools, and cultural institutions began to open in the complex. Handsome theaters and performance spaces like Avery Fisher Hall, New York State Theater, and the Metropolitan Opera House are part of Lincoln Center, as are educational institutions Fordham University and the Juilliard School. Damrosch Park has been used for many non-park shows including the Big Apple Circus and New York Fashion Week.
Damrosch Park Design
The Lincoln Center For The Performing Arts complex covers several blocks. The main entrance is a beautiful sight, featuring the gorgeous Metropolitan Opera House's distinctive arches and Chagall murals in the background, and Lincoln Center's famous fountain in the foreground. Every theater in the complex has its own special charm, and many of them are breathtakingly beautiful inside. The complex does have a reputation for being rather forbidding and almost fortress-like on the outside, which led to the "transformation" effort that is opening up Lincoln Center structurally so that it is better integrated with its Upper West Side neighborhood.
